There are four types of MBBS seats in India.

1. All India Quota(AIQ) Seats: 15% of the total seats are reserved for those students who have excellent NEET scores, and (AIR) ranked within 60000(approx). If you are below the cut-off rank, you are eligible for these seats irrespective of your state. These are applicable for the NRI students also. The counseling will be done by MCI. And you can go to top medical colleges anywhere in India.

2. State quota seats: The remaining 85% are taken care of by the state. The cut-off might differ for different states. You can apply for this quota if you qualify and satisfy the cut-off. You can get admission into government medical colleges in that specific state.

3. Government seats in Private Colleges: After filling all the seats in government colleges, states have some seats in the private colleges. In this category, you can get admission into private medical colleges through the state quota.

4. Private seats in Private Colleges: In this category, all the seats are in the hand of that specific private college. They can allot to any students they want, whether with the high merit or with a higher amount of fees. All are in the hand of private colleges.

Who is more frustrated, a NEET aspirant or a JEE aspirant?

Who is more frustrated, a NEET aspirant or a JEE aspirant? Now, this is what I called an interesting topic to discuss. Some will say JEE is more frustrating, and others will say NEET is more frustrating. Everybody has their own opinion on this topic. Let’s discuss the facts, so we can understand all the doubts( doodh ka doodh pani ka pani ho jayaga ) In my opinion, both the exams have their level of frustration. But the more shocking news is that from this year(2021), JEE will be conducted 4 times a year. Are you kidding? Engineering colleges have their own state-level entrance exam to get into a college.   ...
