Through this NEET, you can get admission for MBBS(Bachelor in Medicine Bachelor in Surgery) and BDS(Bachelor in Dental Surgery). NEET was formerly known as AIPMT(All India Pre Medical Test) and was conducted by CBSE. From 2013 onwards, it was conducted by NTA.

Usually, it was conducted around the month of May. But because of the covid-19 situation, it was postponed to 1 August this year.

NEET exam preparation

Around 15 to 17 lac of students appear at the NEET exam annually. Only a handful of students will pass and get through the exam.

Preparation Start

Parents make their child started their preparation right from an early age; from 9th class. Indians are crazy about engineering and doctors. It does not matter whether you are in India or outside India. Besides, many NRI parents send their child back to India for this NEET, so that they can get admission to a medical college.

Preparation starts from class 12 is taken as the ideal and right time to start NEET preparation. In class 11, you get more time to focus on your NEET preparation. But when you are in class 12, you need to focus more on your board exams. So, time management is a must. I will recommend giving 70% of your time in board exam preparation and 30% for NEET preparation when you are in class 12.

Preparation Tips

Strong knowledge of Biology is a must. 90 questions out of 180 will come from biology alone. And Biology is furthermore divided into 45-45 for botany and biology respectively. NCERT biology is like the Bible for Biology section in NEET. More than 90% of biology questions will come from the NCERT. So, it is necessary to remember all the diagrams and paragraphs in the NCERT books. After completing NCERTs, you can go for sample papers and reference books like MTG Fingertips Biology pdf, Pradeeps' Objective Biology, etc.

For physics, you need to clear the concept. And you need to solve sample papers as much as possible. Only after that, you will clear the concept.

For inorganic chemistry, NCERT is enough for the preparation. But you have to give a little more effort and clear the concept deeply when it comes to organic chemistry.

It is necessary that you go for a coaching class, whether it is online or offline. You will find teachers who have experience in this NEET exam. They will help you clear the exam pattern.

Solving NEET previous year question paper is very important when it comes to NEET preparation. Not only it will help you understand the exam pattern but helps you with your accuracy. Also, many questions are also repetitive from the previous years.

Solving too old questions paper will not help you, because the syllabus is being changed from time to time. I will recommend you to solve the question paper from recent years.

Some will say JEE is more frustrating, and others will say NEET is more frustrating. Everybody has their own opinion on this topic. Let’s discuss the facts, so we can understand all the doubts( doodh ka doodh pani ka pani ho jayaga ) In my opinion, both the exams have their level of frustration. But let’s put that aside and discuss the facts. NEET, there is only a single window exam for all the government medical colleges in India. A few years ago, they removed AIIMS and JIPMER also. Every medical aspirant will now have only one option.             Speaking of chances, JEE is conducted twice every year. But the more shocking news is that from this year(2021), JEE will be conducted 4 times a year. Are you kidding? Engineering colleges have their own state-level entrance exam to get into a college.   The main point is engineering students gets more opportunity that the
